Recently, I acquired a new tablet for digital drawing, and I figured that this project was a good place to try it out for the first time. Using my Ugee M708 tablet, I digitally painted my letters, going for a hospital-mint green, dusty rose, cream, blood red, and neon green for my colour scheme. I tried out different skin tones (using the letter A), but decided that the green was the nicest "zombie" feel.
Here's the full alphabet with prelim and finished drawings.
The first project of semester two in 2D Design: Create a font using any medium, 3 or 2 dimensional, to design a unique alphabet.
Taken from the actual handout, the Project Description says: "Design
a typeface that will be composed from elements
in the world around you. Assemble your twenty-six-character alphabet
using only found objects
or environments of your creation. Letters may be documented through collage, photography, photocopying, digital
and/or traditional illustration, and other appropriate mediums."
